Mason Marketing Solutions (MMS) provides experienced marketing leadership, insight and execution tailored to the needs of the entertainment community and those other verticals looking to learn from it. Serving as our clients’ fractional marketing department, or providing guidance and mentorship to marketing personnel, MMS steers our clients’ marketing efforts as if they were our own. Proudly Canadian and based out of Toronto, Mason Marketing Solutions is a privately owned and operated corporation.

THE TEAM

Greg Mason is the President & CEO of Mason Marketing Solutions (MMS). Greg has ample experience in the entertainment industry, and believes the marketing best-practices of the entertainment industry can be implemented to benefit the marketing initiatives of other industries as well. Leveraging his past experience as Vice President, Marketing of Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures Canada, Greg leads the MMS team’s approach to client marketing with entertainment industry best practices in mind. In his time with Walt Disney Studios, Greg was responsible for driving all the Studio marketing efforts in Canada including Walt Disney Studios, Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm and Twentieth Century Films. Notably, he was recently responsible for the launch of Disney+ in Canada. 

At the time, Greg led the Canadian marketing efforts on 8 out of the top 10 highest grossing movies of all time and stewarded over 300 film and series campaigns including: 5 STAR WARS films, 20 films from the MARVEL Cinematic Universe, both FROZEN films, THE MANDALORIAN and his personal favourite film, UP. Greg’s wealth of experience in entertainment marketing now steers the MMS approach to client marketing initiatives across various industries on a global scale. 

Prior to founding Mason Marketing Solutions, Greg led the Cineplex Entertainment marketing and sales team through two corporate mergers and was ultimately responsible for numerous brands and campaigns. Previously, Greg held key marketing and sales positions within Coca-Cola Ltd. and The Walt Disney Company. He currently serves as President on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Picture Pioneers and is a long-time supporter of the Terry Fox Foundation.

Jess has over 16 years of experience in the Canadian entertainment industry.  She started her career in marketing at Cineplex Entertainment, working on marketing programs from merchandising to the Met Opera.  She then went on to do an MBA specializing in Entertainment and Marketing at NYU Stern.  Jess spent the past 11 years in various marketing roles at Walt Disney Studios Canada.  

Most recently, she was part of the team that launched Disney+ and Star in Canada to massive success.  She has managed media plans and national promotions for countless blockbusters films and series from Marvel, LucasFilm, Disney and Pixar while also overseeing all special events for Disney in Canada.  

When she is not externally consulting for MMS, she can be found chasing her two young boys on the beaches of Bermuda, on her yoga mat or volunteering at her son’s school.

She’s held senior executive roles at both Disney Consumer Products and Dreamworks Animation in franchise marketing, category management and sales capacities and as such, has created and executed both retail and digital marketing and sales strategies for Walmart and specialty Canadian retailers, across a variety of massive brands such as Star Wars, Disney Princess, Marvel and Trolls. She’s also held past positions at Kraft Foods and Sobeys, where she developed her brand and project management skills, and delved into all facets of marketing.

Her work on a diverse portfolio of files has supported industry initiatives and priorities with clear and accurate briefing documents, made-in-house infographics and creative assets, and the coordination of multi-day industry lobbying excursions in the nation’s capital. Jessie holds both her B.A. Honors and Masters of Arts from the University of Guelph, as well as her Public Relations and Corporate Communications post-graduate certificate from Sheridan College, where she is an active participant in the alumni community. Outside of her corporate life, Jessie can be found on a horse farm North East of Toronto, where she teaches horse-back riding to students of all ages.
